Stained Glass Mosaics: Methods and Techniques, 1 Week Intensive Workshop.

In this loaded with information workshop we will explore the mosaic technique that uses stained glass as media. How to cut stained glass correctly and make tesserae out of it? What is tesserae? What substrate to use and what adhesives? How to grout your piece in a way that grout complements it? How do you cut your tiny pieces anyway?! An introduction to the history of mosaics and mosaic techniques will be given during the first class. The workshop is complemented with up to 2 free hours of Open Studio time. Enjoy!

Workshop Cost:
Choice 1: Wall Piece
$360 tuition, plus $36 project fee (for 12"x12" piece or similar size piece of different proportions, such as 1 sq ft rectangle). Total: $396

Choice 2: Mirror
$360 tuition, plus $70 project fee for 20"x20" piece (with 12"x12" mirror in the middle). Total: $430

A $150 deposit is required in order to register for a class. Deposit is due at the time of registration. Full tuition is due by June 28th. Because the group size is limited, we can only hold your spot for 1 week without the deposit. Methods of payment: check, cash or money order. Refund Policy :
Full refund or studio credit if the workshop is dropped before June 28th. 50% refund, minus $35 cancellation fee if the workshop is dropped after June 28th but no later than July 21, 2008. No refunds or studio credits if the workshop is dropped on or after July 22. This includes all unusual circumstances. In case if the workshop is cancelled by Mosaic Sphere Studio, full refund will be issued. Studio reserves the right to change/amend this policy for very special cases.
