Project Fees:
Cost of the project depends on the project size, complexity of the design, the size of tesserae (tiles) used, cost of the materials and cost of the installation. Prices will be higher for the rush orders.

Base rate for 1/2"x1/2" in area size pieces:
$180-$240 per sq ft for layout
plus $15-$35 per sq ft for stained glass tiles
or plus $65-$80 per sq ft for smalti tiles ($300 per sq ft for 24K gold smalti)

In mosaic making, it takes almost as much time to cut and lay a large piece of tile as it takes to cut and lay the small piece of tile. Therefore, the cost of mosaic increases if the smaller pieces are used. For example, base rate for 1/4" size pieces is $630-$840 per sq ft. Portraits are priced at different price rates. Call for quotes. Please, include the photo of the portrait.

$235-$325 per sq ft is a typical charge for pieces about 1/2" in size.

Artist Fee:
A 20% artist fee will be charged for all the projects in addition to the base rate. If project cost will fall under $500, a flat fee of $100 will be charged for the design regardless of size. Note: artist fee includes artwork design, variations (up to 2), 1 revision of the design, color decisions, design enlargement and coloring.

Additional Costs that May Apply:

• project consultation (1 hr free, $60/hr thereafter)
• traveling to site of installation
• shipping and handling
• storage (if stored outside of studio or if stored in the studio for over 2 weeks after the project is completed)
• storage insurance (optional, provided by the customer)
• transportation to the site (truck rental, shipping, packing, etc.)
• insurance during transportation (optional, provided by the customer)
