Yulia Hanansen's internationally acclaimed Mosaic Sphere Studio, LLC, is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Studio produces Fine Art mosaics in a variety of traditional and experimental techniques. Work can be made for commission or can be purchased from our selection of ready-to-buy pieces. All mosaics are one-of-a-kind, designed by Yulia Hanansen. The mission of the studio is to raise public awareness about the Fine Art mosaics and to demonstrate superb quality of mosaic techniques.

All-In-One Service: Mosaic Sphere will oversee all the aspects of mosaic planning and construction including: proposal, estimates, design, implementation, and, in most cases, installation of the project.

Our educational efforts have lead to hundreds of people learning to appreciate and to make mosaics on their own, and to distinguish the quality of pieces that demonstrate the skill and the intellect of the artist. Students learn that mosaics are a form of an artistic expression, just like a painting, or prints, or sculpture.

Types of Mosaics We Offer:
Large Scale Fine Art Mosaics
These mosaics can be made for public areas, such as walls, parks, lobbies of buildings, places of gatherings. Our most recent mosaic mural is "Chippewa Creek", a 116 sq ft (8'x14.5') mosaic for the Medina District Public Library in Medina, Ohio. Our current project in progress is a mosaic mural for the Conservatory area at the University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens.

Fine Art Mosaics
Fine art mosaics are either decorative or functional pieces that include architectural installations, wall hangings, back-splashes, mirrors. They also can be free standing pieces. Materials used: glass, smalti, broken plates, and other materials. We develop proposals (concept and implementation) for large-scale works for public and private spaces.

Furniture Mosaics
Our furniture mosaics include: table tops, mirrors, counters, shelves, furniture sets. Pieces can be designed for interior or exterior use. Designs are made exclusively for the commissioner. Materials used: glass, glass tiles, smalti, broken ceramic plates, alternative medium. Click on "Mosaics Gallery" link on the left for work samples.
